Welsh-raised singer Duffy is this year’s big winner at the Brit Wards, earning for herself wins in three very important categories. The singer was named British Female Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act. Her album Rockferry was named  Best British Album.

Other winners also included Kate Perry, Kanye West and the UK girl band - Girls Aloud.

The winners of the People’s Choice Awards were announced last night and was aired in four networks. It did not have the snoot and elite atmospher as the Oscars or the Golden Globes and it wasn’t even fun like the MTV Awards.
