Faces to Watch: Tristan Wilds
The anticipation for the newest 90210 series is there and depending on how warm the reception is by viewers, the kids on the series may soon be the next sensations on TV, perhaps taking the limelight away from the kids from Gossip Girl.
It may be the first time the younger sets discover this actor, Tristan Wilds, who plays Dixon, one of the other siblings whose story viewers will follow in 90210. Tristan Wilds was part of the cast of The Wire, a critically acclaimed series. I’ve have not seen much of that show, but as reported, he was reportedly fantastic as Michael. The kid can act.
Only 18 years old, Tristan Wilds has had an extensive theater training with Roundabout Theatre Company’s Wool and Stockhom Brooklyn. He made his film debut in Half Nelson, starring Ryan Goslin, which was also a Sundance Film Festival entry. Since then, Tristan has been quite busy with work and has guest starred in several TV shows like Cold Case, Law and Order and Spike Lee’s Miracle Boy’s.
Aside from acting, he is also quite an ace with singing and song writing. Despite playing one of the leads in 90210, he is still making time for doing his first album. He once participated in one of Jay Z’s music videos.
Currently, Tristan Wilds stands as image model for Rocawear’s I Will Not Lose Campaign.
Will viewers get to hear him sing on the show? Can he charm 90210’s target audience? We’ll know the answer in a month or two.
