The black man leads not only in the White House but in this latest celebrity poll that Parade Magazine did with its readers. In choosing which celebrity to Americans prefer when it comes to raising their spirits, majority picked Will Smith. He bested Brad Pitt, Tom Hanks and Julie Roberts among ten other A-listers…

The survey was carried out by Parade magazine and Entertainment Tonight to see which raise people’s spirits during hard times.
With so many celebrity stars cluttering the sky, it can be hard to pick just a few as favorites, but Parade and Entertainment Tonight have worked together to whittle the list down to ten, after asking fans to choose their top entertainers.

Will Smith, who graces the cover of Parade’s Nov. 9 issue, tops the list in the #1 slot, as voted by fans.Brad Pitt, Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon and George Clooney all make appearances within the top 10 along with box-office king Will.

America’s 10 favorite stars:

5. Meryl Streep
