What have the Davids of American Idol been up to?
A few months after the two Davids, Cook and Archuleta, were pitted against each other on American Idol last season, and we already see signs that their music career is going right on track. What have fans got to expect from them in the next couple of months?
David Archuleta, who has singed on as Jive Records’ artist right out of the competition, has his debut album already in the works. Only, it’s not going to be released until after David Cook has his, which is set for early November. Although, the younger David is already busy promoting his first single, Crush. If you have not heard of it, listen to his song here. Is it just me or is David Archuleta really sounding better and better? I wasn’t arguably a fan of his though I know he technically sounds a lot better than the others.
On the other hand and as mentioned, David Cook is preparing for the release of his first album in November of this year. The Idol intends to have at least 20 tracks to this release, and so far, he has finished nearly half of it. Of the planned debut David says, “The music is rock and it’s pretty undeniably me, which I’m pretty excited about.” David Cook has been writing songs with Our Lady Peace’s Raine Maida and Collective Soul’s Ed Roland. It has also been confirmed that he is working with Rob Cavallo, whi is the producer behind the success of Green Day.
In January 2009, David Cook is set to go on tour in the Philippines. This will be his first show outside of America.
The two Davids are still currently busy with the Idol Tour.

they have both proven themselves to be a great performers (besides being competitive)… I’m thinking either one of their new CDs will be worth getting for sure
